Linksys WMP54G v4.1 64bit Drivers

So you have the Linksys WMP54G v4.1 and you got a 64bit version of windows.
We all know how great Linksys Solutions work in this environment. (No drivers… No care from Linksys)

Get them below

I originally lost this file and i some how (thank God!) found the old folder from vista when i needed it a year ago. This was on Linksys’ Forum and they were dead the time I wanted them again for Windows 7.

There was a Ralink v2 fix for it, but somehow this was broken recently. I don’t know what was causing my system freezes and as soon as i removed the ralink driver, the system regained usability!

So, in case you ever need them, Get the ORIGINAL 64bit drivers here

REMEMBER! This is for Linksys WMP54G v4.1 and are 64 bit only

I used the vista folder ones for Windows 7.

1) Remove Ralink v2 from Device Manager.
2) Restart.
3) Return to Device Manager.
4) Fix Unknown Network Device by pointing these drivers to it.
5) Ignore warnings.
6) Regain your wireless 🙂

This can be used on a fresh install as well I’d assume. And again ONLY 64bit.

Hope this helps out.

Thank you so much for this.

  1. no problem.
an alternative is to use the Ralink Drivers found in windows drivers
I believe its under Ralink and Wireless-G PCI Adapter. 😉
This is in case you start to get issues with lags/ping spikes etc. that driver seemed to work too!

    IT WORKS!!! REAL!!! tks 🙂

  2. Lol no probs. If you get issues later on, you can use the ralink drivers bundled in win7 ;-)I had that issue recently where my ping/bandwidth were off the roof

This works like a charm and found it to be better than the Ralink driver. Thanks a lot for sharing this

    • No problem at all 🙂 I think in one system I had to reinstall the ralink drivers. So in case you get any issues, don’t forget how to install those as well. I do have to sometimes use Windows Wireless Diagnostic Utility though because of the ralink ones.
